FAQ

  • What makes GritX different from all the other recruiting sites?
GritX provides affordability and has a 1 on 1 relationship with the recruit and their family. GritX does NOT guarantee any athletic scholarship. GritX's goal is to find the right college/university for the recruit based on their needs socially, academically, athletically, and financially. If an athletic scholarship comes with the right college/university then that's just an added bonus. What happens after a school is chosen? Well we want to help with that. Get a step ahead of other recruits with a GritX strength and conditioning program, nutrition guide, and mental skills exercises for an overall mentorship. 5% of all services will be donated between Champions of Fond du Lac Special Olympics Wisconsin 4-14 and Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac.
  • Do I have to wait to hear from a college coach to know they are interested in me?
The answer is no. Just as an example: There are around 400,000 high school girls basketball players and 540,000 high school boys basketball players in the country. Coaches cannot possibly see everyone play. If there is a college or university you are interested in attending and playing for, reach out. Control your own destiny.
  • How do college coaches assess a recruit's character during competition?
Actions speak louder than words. Coaches look for how you interact with your coaches, teammates, officials, and opposing team. Ask yourself these questions: Do I cheer for my team when I am on the bench? Do I help my teammate or an opposing player up? Do I respect the officials? Do I make eye contact with my coach or teammate when they are talking? If you can answer YES to all these questions then you are in good shape. And the obvious: your skills, your potential growth, and how hard you play.
  • How do college coaches assess a recruit's character off the court?
College coaches will: Contact your high school and/or club coaches and ask questions about your character and coachability. Browse your social media accounts to make sure your accounts are respectful and speak to their program and university's core values.
  • Which Divisions offer athletic scholarships?
NCAA Division I & Division II NAIA Division 1 & Division II NJCAA Division I & Divisions II (other sports may vary)
  • What other scholarships are available if I do not get an athletic scholarship?
All colleges and universities offer some academic scholarship based on GPA, and/or ACT/SAT score, out-of-state scholarships, and multiple student scholarships. Every college/university is different. Most universities list all of their scholarships on their websites for incoming freshmen.
